1 - Please provide your RL specs (age, sex, marital status, yiffer, etc.)
33, Male, not married
2 - Have you read our mission statement and structure?
Yes, I live in Scotland so my raiding availability may be limited but after speaking with stomp today she mentioned potential weekend raiding in the future
3 - What raiding experience do you have? Please specify what roles/classes you have played in the past.
I started playing in BC when I lived in New Zealand, I returned home to Scotland before Wrath came out and time differences have meant limited raiding possibilities for me. I have cleared Kara, Grulls, most of Tempest Keep before 3.0. After Wrath, I cleared 10 man Naxx on 21st of December 2008 and have not had a chance to go back since.
4 - Please submit an armory link and chat about your raiding spec. If you are planning on starting a new character on Staghelm, let us know what spec you plan on having at 80.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Kul+Tiras&n=BytorsnowdogBytorsnowdog is my main, I regularly do 4kdps in 25 man VOA which is about the only raid type thing I get to do at the moment. I have the best gear I can realistically get without raiding I believe.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Kul+Tiras&n=CujimmyMy main alt is my paladin, originally geared as a tank I have a pretty good ret set and can do 3kdps on heroic dummies. Again lack of raiding chances have limited the gear I have
5 - Please list your previous Guild(s) and why you left (Transfer applicants should also include previous Guild Master and 2 members, and yes, we are asking because we want to know if it ended amicably)
I have spent most of my WoW time in guilds with friends, I have never been part of a hardcore raiding guild but I do love to raid. I have never left a guild "under a cloud" as I am a very loyal person and would not go and /gquit just to get something for myself. The main reason that I have left guilds in the past has been their demise (people leaving game or server) or the fact that I was normally on at times when noone else was so I was basically alone anyway
6 - Can you make ALL of the raid times for the foreseeable future?
As stated above I live in the best small country in the world, bonnie scotland and I would definitely not be able to make all raid times, the weekend raiding as mentioned by stomp to me earlier today would definitely interest me if it came to pass.
7 - Do you know an existing member of Bound? If so, do you believe they will admit it?
I have spoken to stomp a couple of times on twitter and feel almost like I know her from listening to the podcasts (even if she did almost make me crash my car when I first heard the term turducken)
8 - List any alts over level 70 and their professions if you plan on having them in the guild.
As all my toons are alliance on another server the only toons I would request guild access for would be my hunter and paladin when I transfer them over and my druid I have rolled on the server. My hunter is a skinner LW, my paladin is a miner BS, druid is going to be herb alch eventually
9 - Please list 3 resource websites you frequently utilize for information on developing your in-game play.
I visit Stabilised Effort Scope and the Hunting Lodge for hunter information. Rilgon is famous for his Blueberreh rage (tm) but he really knows MM hunters. I am fairly active in the twitter hunter community with him, Brigwyn, Nassira, Brajana etc
I visit Honorscode for paladin information, honors is a great blogger and his forums at maintankadin have some great theorycrafters and guides to all things paladin
10 - If you are in a pick up group and one of the member's of your party accuses you of "ninja'ing" an item, what do you do? (there is not just one right answer here. )
Firstly, before I would roll need on any item I would ask the group if it was ok. I rarely roll on anything in PUGS apart from greed on the frozen orb.
In raids master looter is normally in force so I just roll when told to like a good little hunter.
If someone really thought I had ninja'd something I would attempt to tell them what had happened and show that I had asked before rolling need etc. Some people are never happy but I go out of my way to be respectful to others in game. When I am out mining if I think I stole a node from someone I will open trade with them and give them the ores etc that I got.
11 - What are your PC's performance specifications?
I have a mac mini and a PC
The mac mini is for more day to day stuff but will run instances without a problem, my PC is currently having windows issues but before I tried linux OS I would get 40fps in dalaran and more in open areas. I cant remember the exact PC specs but I have a 9400GT 512MB graphics card, 2Gig of RAM and a quad core AMD processor.
12 - Please provide any other information you would like to include, about yourself such as where you live, etc, and about your character and/or why you think Bound would be a good fit.
As I have said a couple of times I live in Scotland and often refer to myself as the haggis hunter, I work for a water company and spend a lot of time with my family. Living in New Zealand for 2 years has shown me how important they are.
Listening to stomp and haf talking about the guild made me want to be a part of it. I am going to faction and server transfer both my main toons to be a part of this if I am accepted. The biggest single reason isn't the chance to raid, although I do love raiding, it isn't glory, it isn't an attempt to be a fanboy, I want to join the guild as it sounds like a lot of fun. At the end of the day this is a game and is meant to be fun and your guild sounds like a good bunch of people having a good time and it doesn't get much better than that.
